The MillHouse Public Art Mural Project is a partnership between the McKinney Cotton Mill, MillHouse McKinney, and MillHouse Foundation. This project to paint public art on the Cotton Mill exteriar walls began in 2020. Led by MillHouse Yoda Gail Delger, resident Studio Artists imagined, designed, collaborated, and created the first mural at the McKinney Cotton Mill on the public-facing exterior wall at 610 Elm Street, Suite 1000, McKinney, Texas 75069. 2020 MillHouse Public Art Mural Project collaborators include: Gail Delger, Dana Brock, Andrea Holmes, Lisa Temple, Cindy Gilstrap, and Beth Beck.
Beginning in 2022, we added MuralFest to our annual festival calendar to add colorful murals to the Cotton Mill exterior walls each year. Muralists travel from across Texas and beyond to paint original designs on designated locations around the facility. Danielle Hodgkins traveled from New York state to paint her Butterfly Garden mural, #30 on the mural map below.
Visitors can tour our MillHouse McKinney facility and the public art murals Monday-Friday 9 am - 5 pm, or by appointment. Tax-deductible donations to MillHouse Foundation will support MillHouse Public Art Projects and festivals which are designed to enhance earning potential for micro business owners in creative fields.
You can view and download our Mural Map, created by MillHouse artist and designer, Cindy Taylor.
Your generous tax-deductible donation supports women as artists and entrepreneurs.
