In celebration of America 250, MillHouse Foundation and the Cotton Mill Partners announce the inaugural Cotton Mill Arts District Atrium Gallery Exhibition honoring Trailblazing Texas Wonder Women.
Exhibition dates: June 12-August 26
These women transformed society as icons and pioneers in thought-leadership, innovation, entertainment, business, and activism – each with giant shoulders we stand on today, including Bessie Coleman, Ima Hogg, Barbara Jordan, Esther Dyson, Lady Bird Johnson, Ann Richards, Simone Biles, Marta Sophia, Selena Quintanilla, Babe Didrikson Zaharias, and more.
All 48x60 artworks in the exhibition will be available for purchase, offering collectors a rare opportunity to acquire museum-scale original art while supporting Texas artists.

LONE STAR AWARD
"She Wore Yellow for Hope"

Artist Inspiration: "She was quiet, rooted in strength. Her legacy: environmental and cultural; believing that beauty is essential to life. As a child, I was drawn to the wildflowers she championed. Even near the end, greatly disabled, she insisted on visiting a museum—testimony to her devotion to experiencing beauty."

Artist and Jeweler Dana Brock directs fine art activities at MillHouse: Atrium Gallery, ArtFest, and all artist communications and fine art festival social media.

Gail Delger's diverse body of work showcases her whimsical and quirky creations, embodying creativity and sense of humor. She works in watercolor, printmaking, collage, and acrylic.

Lisa's artwork is fueled by bold color, rich texture, and a deep sense of movement and energy. She create slarge-scale oil paintings that blend abstract expressionism with figurative representation.

Robin Maria Pedrero creates with skillful use of color and texture to bring to life unique works of art. An award-winning artist, her work appears in museum permanent collections as well as corporate collections, publications, and film.

Mary is an experimental printmaker whose work blends multiple techniques to create layered, one-of-a-kind pieces using linocut, drypoint, monotype, and collagraph.

Kathy is an abstract artist using a wide variety of mediums and techniques, including painting, collage, and printmaking.

Beth Hubbert, is an ARTIST in capital letters, because she simply must create. She is enthused by colors and the happiness they may create.

Aimee Woolverton, a photographer and entrepreneur, manages marketing for events at MillHouse, and works closely with artists and artisans.
